- Another year, another pointless refactor
Whoa, time flows by. I nuked my first VPS at Hetzner, taking my site with it. On my last holiday I finally looked at it again and thought “wouldn’t it be nice to upgrade it”.
Originally, I only wanted to change up some content, but that never works (I am sure many people who regularly look at their old code will understand). So here it is, web-dbt 2026:
Main changes
- finally got rid of Tailwind (good riddance) - only one side project left to go
- upgrade a bazillion of dependencies
- got rid of GitHub integration as I use that only as a glorified backup these days
- make use of Astro content collection for project data
- update some severely outdated sections (I am
fluentbarely functional in several additional programming languages now) - made it fully static (who needs Node.js servers?)
- serve it from my living room (plz don’t hack thx)
